If you stay on the east coast, near Edinburgh, try the coast between Berwick and Dunbar - it has a beach in Nice. Stirling and St. Andrews are also easily accessible from Edinburgh.

However, the West Coast of the Sierra, where the most beautiful coasts and beaches. When I approached the coast from Gairloch could (many of the accommodation) will Kylesku beaches, cliffs and views that knock you sideways. It will take four or 5 hours drive from Edinburgh to achieve Gairloch, however, it is not exactly a day trip.

Everywhere along the coast of Fife, which lies on the opposite side of the Forth from Edinburgh. St Andrews is at the tip of Fife, with a beach is totally amazin. It is a very good train service along the coast of St Andrews, Fife, etc., and many small towns have beautiful beaches, Aberdour, Kinghorn, Burntisland directly to Edinburgh a few names. Stirling is also easily accessible by train or, alternatively, only 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh and Dunfermline, the largest town in West Fife, which is easy to reach from Edinburgh, by all means of transport.

You should also to the beaches of Ellie, Upper Largo Leven (home of Robinson Crusoe). Lots to see and do and Fife is a good place to stay central and eastern Scotland. Loads of accommodation in all price ranges. Go to most tourist information for Fife.
